Great thread! I had a similar take, although I am American, watched it with a house full of crypto people, a few blocks from where the EF merge party happened. I wanted a film I could show my friends and family. Instead, I got a stroll down memory lane and a better look into formative moments in Vitalik’s early life. The latter - especially the parts in his early childhood up through his bitcoin days - were amazing. I appreciated the moments of him getting ready for talks and traveling, but for the normal person who doesn’t go to Ethereum events, I’m not sure they’d have the same appreciation. The remainder was fun for me because I knew the context, but I can’t imagine it landing for people who aren’t already steeped in Ethereum. Like the merge, or the scene with Charles, or even the part about Ukraine. I’m grateful this film exists, but still waiting for the one I can inspire my family with.

Thanks! I had the same impression; I felt like the TAM of this movie could've been bigger. But for a crypto nerd like me, it was an interesting thing to watch. I also got a response from Linda Xie, who was the producer: https://x.com/ljxie/status/1840964604060381289
